Our Story

When the founders of AfroConstruct started to think about building houses in their respective home countries, they were discouraged by the many rip-off stories they had heard from many West African immigrants in the diaspora. Family, friends, contractors and many more had taken monies for projects that were never started or abandoned in the process. To address this problem, they created AfroConstruct as a medium to connect future homeowners directly to manufacturers and suppliers of building and home remodeling materials.

Abdul Rashid Abdulai
A native of Ghana, Abdul is a scientist and a passionate entrepreneur. He is strongly committed to helping secure most African immigrants' version of the American dream; building a dream home in Accra, Ghana or Lagos, Nigeria. Thus, by co-founding AfroConstruct, Abdul and his team intend to transform the process of an African immigrant building a home in his/her country of origin. Abdul likes to join initiatives that are geared towards solving issues within his community and beyond. He is an avid football fan and enjoys watching the Spanish La Liga & English Premier League.

Musemiu Adeola
Musemiu is responsible for providing the global network, communications, computing, and security infrastructure that enables AfroConstruct’s internal marketplace operations.Additionally, Musemiu routinely shares his insights in optimizing business results through the use of technology, developing world-class global teams, fueling innovation, and enabling IT operational excellence. With more than 4 years in the high-tech industry by founding a company called Workunite, Musemiu has been serving entrepreneurs, small and medium sized businesses, providing them with business services such as web designing & programing, graphics, IT support, HR & Recruitment.

Saikou Ceesay
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, to immigrant parents from Gambia, Saikou Ceesay graduated from CUNY-Lehman College with honors in BA in Accounting. Saikou has experience in working with big data, filing and finances. He enjoys helping community members uplift themselves in all aspects of life, especially in managing their finances and making business decisions. Saikou strives to help elevate his community financially and to teach others how to build wealth. Saikou aims to use AfroConstruct to make it easier and efficient for his community members who are have building projects in their respective home countries.

Shakrullah Aregbe
Shakrullah is responsible for the development of strategic, budget, operation and project plans of AfroConstruct. As Chief Operating Officer, Shakrullah works closely with his colleagues to fix big issues and execute core strategy by establishing policies that promote AfroConstruct’s mission and vision. He works with other partners and businesses to explore opportunities for growth and development.
